Who i am

My name's Reda, aka Dj Redaman, i'm composer, audio engineer & DJ.
I'm also web programer & grafic designer.

I started making music in 2004 by mixing acapellas with instrumentals on video editing software, with a rather slow computer. It was fun do, hijack the primary use of software to make something different, like with music, use the acapella and instrumental of two different songs and mix them together and ear what happens.

My musical tastes are varied, it ranges from popular song to more underground music.

What inspires me

I'm inspired by R&B, soul, disco, pop, hip hop, smooth jazz, rock, salsa, reggaeton, New jack swing, French songs, World music...

My preference goes to artists with great voices, like for instance ; Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, Aretha Franklin, Christina Aguilera, Michael Jackson...

I'm also influenced by some beatmakers like ; Dr Dre, Timbaland, Rick Ross, Dj Khaled. And producers like ; Quincy Jones, Narada Michael Walden, Babyface, Teddy Riley, and many more.

Music accompanies me since a have ten, indeed, when i was young i recorded songs on the radio and made mix tapes, with the tracks chained, people liked it and some even offered me money to get it.

Creativity

Mixing two different style of beat to get one new thing is what i'm trying to do. To help me to do so i have a huge collection of LP's, instrumentals, acapellas and drum kits. Always find my inspiration.

Originality

Provide sounds like no one else, not an easy thing to do, because, even you've got great sources ; acapellas and musics, most of the times it's a long road to make them fit togheter.
